Make This Vanilla Cup Cake in Just Thirty Minutes

A grand meal is never complete without a mouthful of delicious desserts. And vanilla cupcakes can be just the perfect dessert for every occasion. Whether you are having guests over or it’s just an intimate family lunch, here is an easy recipe that you must try out today.


The first step towards good baking is assembling all the required ingredients. Of course, you need some good-quality vanilla extracts. You can check out to have the most delicious aroma guaranteed. Apart from that, you need 325 g of all purpose flour, 2 cups (414 g) of grounded sugar, two tablespoons of baking powder, and just a pinch of salt.

Among the wet ingredients, you need a cup of milk, a ling with half a cup of vegetable oil or melted butter. You also need to whisk two large eggs and keep them aside. Note that the amount of ingredients given here is enough for a yield of 24 to 26 cupcakes. If you are baking on a commercial scale, you must prepare the batter in batches

Frosting Ingredients

If you want to add a vanilla frosting to the top, keep aside the following ingredients:

  • 100 g of salted butter at room temperature.
  • 4 cups of powdered sugar
  • 2 teaspoon of vanilla essential oils
  • A tablespoon of milk
  • 90 g of shortening.

Cake Preparation

Take a large bowl and sieve the flour thoroughly. Add all the other dry ingredients and mix them properly along with the flour. Keep this preparation aside. Now in a separate bowl, whisk the vegetable oil along with the sugar till it becomes light and fluffy. Add the vanilla extract and the egg yolks and keep whisking till they result in an even mix.

Bind this mixture layer by layer to the dry ingredients. In the end, your batter must neither be too hard nor too runny. Make sure that batter has a drooping consistency. If the batter is too tight, add a few drops of milk or water between each beating.

Readying Pan and Oven

Once the batter is ready, the next step is to prepare the pan and the oven. Preheat the oven to 176 degrees Celsius. Prepare your cupcake mold with some liners. In case you don’t have the liners, you can grease the mold with butter and dust some flour over it.

 Now you are all ready to start baking. Set the time to 15-17 minutes and reduce the temperature to 140 degrees Celsius. But do keep checking your batter from time to time.

Prepare Frosting

While your cakes are baking, take all the above-mentioned frosting ingredients except the milk and beat them together until they are light and fluffy. You can add the milk at this stage to smoothen the texture of the frosting.

Start Easting

Prick a toothpick through the cake. If it comes out nice and clean, it means your cakes are ready. Let them cool down before you pipe the frosting. Otherwise, the frosting may melt. Dig into your moist and delicious cakes at tea time or lunch! Happy baking!
