5 Places to Find Profiles of VC Investors

Finding a venture capitalist for funding a project, asking advice, or just contacting can be a daunting task. Fortunately, there are many online platforms that have investor profiles of people who are able to invest in projects and offer their financial expertise.

We’ll be going over five of the best websites that feature profiles for venture capitalists and investors looking to fund projects and the like. Keep in mind that each website here offers something unique from the last, so be sure to read until the end to know what platform will suit you the best.

Signal

Signal.nfx is a popular platform for founders and investors to connect. There are tens of thousands of profiles of investors on this platform, and you can easily find an investor that relates to your business by sorting through the many different industries.

FundersClub

FundersClub is another online venture capitalist platform, based in San Francisco, California. Founded in 2012, it has a similar story to that of OurCrowd. The company has invested early on in many projects that would become huge companies, such as Coinbase, Instacart, Flexport, and Gitlab.

On their website, they have a “For Founders” button at the top of their page. This will direct you to their Founders page, in which you can learn about the process to apply for funds from FundersClub.

Wellfound (Formerly AngelList)

Referred to as the “Match.com” for investors and startups, AngelList, now Wellfound, has made a name for itself in the world of online venture capital. Founded in 2010 with a simple list of just 50 investors who pledged to invest $80 million, the company has grown into one of the largest venture capitalist websites and platforms today.

Wellfound arguably has one of the largest databases for startup companies as well, with just over 17,000 companies listed on their site. Check it out for yourself by following this link.

StartEngine

While StartEngine may not be a venture capitalist platform, it is an equity crowdfunding website. If you’re looking for investors to fund your project, you may want to consider checking out crowdfunding services such as StartEngine.

Their homepage features projects that have been approved by their team, and individuals can invest in them as part of the crowdfund. This is an excellent way to raise capital for your business as an alternative to venture capital.

Hopefully some of these venture capital websites will allow you to connect with a venture capitalist, or get the funds you need to start your business project. Remember to do your own research as well before picking a venture capitalist or crowdfund, and we wish you good luck!
